Once I do this, I can then manually copy the encryption key file over to, say, a desktop or whatever, then Un-root my phone, re-set-up Whatsapp on MY phone number.
I don't know if it saved server side or if it's generated based on the phone number, but the key will be the same. so if I root my phone, install Whatsapp, and then set up the Whatsapp using HER phone number, it will ping the servers and say "Hey, I'm a fresh install of WhatsApp, Can I have a copy of the encryption key for 's phone number?" and then download a copy of the encryption key? So just to make sure I'm understanding this correctly, the encryption key for Whatsapp is stored both locally, but ALSO server-side.
